Armand Hammer Museum of Art

Situated on the UCLA campus in Westwood, the museum was founded by Dr. Armand Hammer, former Chairman of Occidental Petroleum Corporation in November 1990.

The Museum features contemporary and historical works of Monet, Casset, Van Gogh, Pissaro and many more. Regular exhibitions in dance, music and poetry are organized here. Through its exhibitions, the Museum is committed to promoting cultural understanding, to introducing the work of underrepresented artists, and to interpreting art of the past and present. In addition to selections from its permanent collections, the Museum has a series of temporary exhibitions, including Hammer Projects. Generally the Museum's exhibitions are accompanied by extensive public programs.

The museum is an example of media and visual arts. The museum makes efforts to explore cultural, political and social issues in an intellectual form. In this respect it offers a wide range of programs for public interest such as lectures, symposia, film series, readings and musical performances. To view the excellent pieces of art of artists like Armand Hammer, you can also come here in group. Group tours can be arranged by calling or emailing in advance.

Hours: Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat 11am- 7 pm ; Thu 11am- 9 pm ; Sun 11am- 5 pm; Free on Thursdays for all visitors. Closed on Mondays
