Rancho Park Golf Club

The Rancho Park Golf Club is the best manicured and well maintained park in an area of 6,585 yards. This popular public course has all the class and quality of the exclusive private club. The club was opened in 1920.

The simple Westside setting of the club is perfectly well maintained by tees, fairways and greens. The park also features a two- tiered driving range, an executive course, and top- notch restaurant and bar. Since the course sits right across the street from the 20th Century Fox lot, this course is easily one of the best municipals in the city.

This course's fairways are lined with mature trees and a standard cut of rough. Numerous sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design, mainly around the greens, so accurate approach shots are especially critical. The average- sized greens are in fairly good condition considering all the play this public facility receives. The club is flanked by an equally good par- three course; the 27 total holes here are usually in much better shape than other municipal courses. Golfers are required to have a Los Angeles city card for admission. The club has hosted the Senior PGA Tour's Ralph's Senior Classic. There are alternate greens for each tee.
