The El Capitan Theatre made its debut on May 3, 1926 as “Hollywood's First Home Of Spoken Drama.”
This theatre is a unique amalgam as it has a Spanish Colonial exterior and East Indian interior designed by San Francisco architect G. Albert Lansburgh.
The theatre underwent a renovation with a newly installed high speed lift center stage, lights, and remodeled dressing rooms. The theatre has a huge capacity of 1,000 seats and a Dolby audio system.
In 1989, Disney restored this classic movie palace. This renowned destination has become a popular spot for premieres, film festivals. These shows allow frequent interactions with character look- alikes.
It is worth experiencing the grandeur of El Capitan. Tickets are given on first- come, first served basis. Disney movies present live stage shows, display so sets, costumes, and props.
