This is the right place for you incase your fantasy is vintage cars, gas stations, racing cars and celebrity cars. Petersen Automotive Museum, founded in 1994 is a non- profit organization.

The museum has a good collection of science flashbacks for kids. It is located on Museum Row on the corner of Wilshire and Fairfax. Also showcases the scenes and building that were responsible for the development of the motor car in Los Angeles. Various scientific facts like how sound travels, how a police radar gun works are taught and practically depicted here. Families can bring their toddlers and young children to this area. Parents and children can check out bottles filled with educational games and puzzles to enhance their time at the Museum. Visitors can dress up in historical motoring attire - - coats, goggles and scarves - - and step into a 1910 Model T for the perfect picture opportunity!. Visitors can gaze at the Gravitram, a giant maze of tracks filled with billiard balls, and learn about the Newtonian physics principles of force and motion. Five galleries house changing exhibitions of various types of vehicles while other galleries display automotive memorabilia and changing exhibits.

Museum Hours: Tue- Sun 10am- 6pm., Closed on Monday, Thanksgiving day, Christmas Day
