Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles

The Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles was founded in 1984 and its present director is Francesca Valente. It is a centre for educationists, a language learning centre and a place where art, films and videos are of utmost importance.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles was designed by Robert E. Alexander, partner of Richard Neutra. It promotes the translation of Italian authors by encouraging local publishers and makes the public aware of Italian artists, as well as literary contests and awards. There is a huge library comprising of 5,000 books, a large collection of CD's, DVD's which are fully dedicated to Literature, Arts and Cinema.

The books are classified in accordance with the Dewey System and therefore can be easily found. It also promotes, organizes and funds a vast array of cultural events with the aim of strengthening and broadening the level of cultural exchange between the United States of America and Italy. It also offers information on study and job opportunities in the fields of language and culture.

Gallery: Mon- Fri 10:00AM to 1:00PM; Saturday 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
